It looks like any old roller coaster, with curves and heart-stopping loops. But instead of zooming by, people are walking—on inclines fitted with steps. This creation in Germany's Rhine Valley is an interactive sculpture, but it’s also one of the world’s most unique staircases.

I get all of it except the upside down part. How exactly is one suppose to walk on that part?

They need to be honest: this is NOT for walking, it's for a Ferris Wheel!

it seems you can't! But i think it could be made so you could. by having you walk on the top (with the rails and all that too).

i think if it did a 1/2 twist on the way up the loop so you were walking on the outside and then on the top and the same in reverse on the way down then one could do the loop.

very cool!

I wonder how long it took just to put that together, that was an effort in itself.

Oh okay, it's just something to look at. Art! I'm glad 'cause I was racking my brain trying to figure that one out. The gluets would get an amazing work up walking up that loop, unfortunely most folks would be exhausted halfway through.
