Titans don't need him but it's not about where he is needed, it's where he chooses to play.

Another jock how hadn't planned or doesn't want to hang up the cleats because he can't do anything else. Bryan Gumble HBO, "Inside Sports" has done a series of episodes about football players who never makethe transition to "civilian life", it doesn't matter if they have still have their fortune or not. The bio on Walter Peyton was sad.

There's two sides to this. If you ask a competent medical professional to look at his charts and ask whether he could play football in the NFL again, he probably would clear him to play. If you asked this same medical professional whether he should play in the NFL again, he would probably say Peyton Manning needs to look at the remainder of his life and hang it up immediately. No one would look at him negatively if he never played another down in football, and he is a guaranteed Hall of Fame selection anyway.

typing

I disagree.

A medical professional just might recommend no one play in the NFL.

But what profession doesn't have its risks?

Seems 2 me the manning is trying 2 get somebody 2 write a large check................just like last season.

This guy is DONE.

I'm strongly convince that the Colts organization knows Peyton is damaged goods.

The real problem now for Peyton is that he can NOT accept the fact that baby brother Eli has two SuperBowl rings to Peyton's only one.

They owed him $28 million if they didn't release him. More than QB needs fixing so why not start over? Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark are also gone.

Well it's true! Professional egos can drive a man to do anything and "throwing cautions in the wind" in the process.

I think that applies to almost any athlete, not necessarily just one who has as brother with more rings

That's where I'd like to see him working. Networks would hop at the chance to sign him.

Peyton? No way!

He is not booth material. Maybe it's just that tobacco he keeps in his mouth but dude cannot speak.

He'd make Shannon Sharpe look like Kenneth Branaugh.

^Please have you seen the other retired pros behind the desk. Bradshaw? the dude from the bengals? all you need is to hire a speech therapist and give him/her a few weeks with Peyton. The guy is personable, corn shuck cute, and obviously knows the sport. He's already a shoe in for the hall of fame and has a SB ring. Hes made his mark and a lasting one no reason to risking ones health for a lil more time on the fame clock.

Yet, which do you think networks would hire first -- Shannon or Peyton? Dude's Colts speech last week was good TV. The kind advertisers would pay handsomely for.

Peyton was also pretty good on Saturday Night Live. He has an accent, but he speaks just fine.

Bradshaw is fine. Dude from the Bengals? Not sure who that's referring to.

Peyton is personable but I can't see him doing the booth.

Knowing the sport isn't the same as talking about it.

He's definitely HOF'er. I think he wants to play because it is still in him. Not like he needs the money.

Shannon has been in the booth since he retired. I can't picture Peyton doing it.

Free agency has begun. Randy Moss signed a 1-year deal with the 49ers. Dolphins traded Marshall to the Bears.

I know Shannon's in the booth. My question is which would networks pick first, all things being equ-- never mind.

Mario Manningham signed a 2-yr deal with the 49ers. He might be catching passes from Peyton Manning.

Breaking news from WFAN:

Broncos traded Tebow to the Jets for a 4th round pick. Dumb Jets. I wouldn't give up a 7th round pick for that dude.

The NFL has suspended Sean Payton for a year.
