Little Demitri is under observation today.
They left him "open" today in case (God forbid) something happens and they need to access the heart.
But supposedly if he pulls through today with no problem, they will close him up and after 14 days he should be able to go home.
Thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts.
I am a firm believer that the universe listens.

Baby has bacterial blood infection...running all sorts of tests to find out why it's not going away...looks like he might be in hospital for another month.

For anyone keeping tabs...
...baby Demitri isn't doing too well.
Still fighting the blood infection, his heart is beating eratically, and his toes turned blue/black from poor circulation (probably losing his pinky toe).

Update; Spoke w/ my cousin last night. The baby is better, but still in Intensive Care.
His foot regained some circulation, so hopefully the toes will remain. They placed some sort of boot on the foot to help with that.
The infection is under control.
Now his little heart is the issue. They couldn't get the rapid & erratic beating under control. Seems that yesterday they finally found the right dosage or whatever to bring it down a bit and - more importantly - stabilize the heartbeat.
The mommy was able to hold little Demitrios for the fourth time (in over four weeks).
