I never said that my spouse would not be kicked to the curb and face dire consequences. But if a chick messes with the wellbeing of my children, and my financial stability, I will beat her ass just based on principal alone. I am glad that you don't always feel that way because after the smackdown fest is finished, then what? You end up in jail, lose your job and reputation. The same money that you speak to pay the bills, and feed your family is the same money that you're going to need for bail. Is it worth it? I am not sure of other countries, but some states within the US allows you to sue the third party for breaking up their marriages. I'd say go that route, if anything.
