Whoever buys me this I will marry immediately. The Clavia Nord Stage 2 88. It's a stage piano. And it's the best. And I want it.

Is there anyone on here who owns a Nord Stage? [Edited 2/28/12 8:19am]

Nah. But I know a man who might Is it pretty specialist/rare?

Actually, no.
Ignore me and carry on. | |

For a second I thought you knew someone who might [buy me this] and felt a glimpse of hope and horniness igniting somewhere in my body's neither regions.
But, as it stands... | |

That's nice.
Put a couple of $ bills in the each month until you can buy your Norg.

My father-in-Law has a couple of music shops. Don't think he keeps this in stock though. How much is it?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
About 3,000 quid.
Do you think he'd be so kind to donate it to me? Of course, I'd pay 50% of the shipping costs.

Is he a Dave-hater? I've heard there are loads of them on the island...

Nah. I'm sure i've shown him some of your stuff.

That's not much money for a high end product. Save up and get yourself. I know that in my brother's band the lead singer has a 10 grand guitar. Doing music aint cheap!! 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

If that were the only thing I were investing in. Since I have bought a new drum set, a bass guitar, two news guitars, and new computer for my producing and two new mics I know that music ain't cheap
This is just what's been missing... and I want a new car too!

And, to be honest, this is enough for a stage piano. Even for a high-end stage piano, over 3,000 quid is a lot.
A guitar that cost 10 grand? That's probably more than a guitar, 'cause if all he can do is play on it, he's a fool for investing that much Usually, you pay up to 5 grand for tone and quality, everything topping that is styling, brand or history.

He's doing well as a writer too-(publishing deal and all.) One of his songs that he co-wrote sold over 1.5 million copies. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

Marrying someone over a piano
You should talk toWibi Soerjadi and his Betsy

Meh.

There's a real stage piano for you.

I've got a Rhodes too, but for playing on-stage with different bands (and different genres) it's simply not versatile and practical enough.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
And the Rhodes sound on the Nord is as close to the classical model as it will ever get. It plays and sounds just like the original, I swear.

Dave, how about a vid of you playing? Wanna see yo chops! All you others say Hell Yea!!

I like all the options on it. You basically only would need one keyboard. I'm sure Prince has one. All you others say Hell Yea!!
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Exactly and that's the point! No more carrying round three keyboards to gigs (although it might look good on stage, but many stages aren't even big enough for that). And no more going through endless sub-menues when you want to change your sound live!
A vid of me playing? I haven't got one yet, but I'll take a quick shower and then make a crappy one with my phone, if that's alright for you?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
No, I don't want to see you taking a shower.
Email the company and tell them to make a clear version, with lights inside. All you others say Hell Yea!!

I made a short video of me jamming around, but my phone won't send it to the laptop via bluetooth (don't know why )...

Did you watch the video in Reply #22? The only difference on the Nord is that the sound had an additional chorus and reverb effect, which can be removed.
Plus, like I said, I can't carry around a Rhodes week in, week out. And a Rhodes doesn't offer everything I need on stage, either.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Sorry, I don't understand your reply. The video you linked has a Yamaha DX7 synth on it. Not a Fender Rhodes electric piano. Those two units are about as far apart as it gets from the technical perspective.
Yeah, lugging around a real Rhodes is not something I would do either. Congrats on owning one if you really do own one. I'm just confused about your reply.
