Loved "Chris" as well (I have the first 3 seasons on dvd) but it loses something when you know that Chris Rock actually graduated high school in 1983.

When Robert's friend ate the fly at the dinner table, and Raymond was struck dumb by the sight of it...I think that is the funniest 5 minutes on TV.

Every episode is about how big a mommy's boy Raymond is

and what a klutz he is , and how his dominating/manipulating mom and wife don't get along

It's repetitive as hell

I rather liked it until i realised that

Chris Rock's voice is grating

Can't bare watching that show because of it

I like his stand up though

Agreed! I always hated that show and never understood the appeal. I cringe when I'm changing chanels and come across it. Hate it.

See, it is actually pretty funny in small doses. I was surprised to find that because the commercials made it look idiotic.

My mom would go on and on about Raymond. I never had watched that show until my mom made me while I was recovering from surgery. I hated it.

I hadn't watched Chris while it was on prime time either however I have watched it on Nick at Nite and I do enjoy it. Chris Rock's narration cracks me up. And I love all the 80's music playing.

My vote goes to Chris. No contest.

I'm not a fan of sitcoms in general but the ones I don't mind are the ones that I can relate to at least a little.

Raymond is completely unrelatable to me and the very few minutes that I caught of it now and then were never funny at all.

Chris was cute and pretty funny but I never remembered when it was on so obviously I didn't enjoy it enough to go out of my way to watch it on a regular basis.

But then again, there are very few shows that I remember to watch - even the ones that I really like.

On 'Everybody Hates Chris', the dominating/manipulating wife was just as repetitive, and the father can squash her like a bug. He's so cheap

Raymond's brother cracks me up , that's it, and I like the nostalgia of the 80's as well on 'Everybody Hates Chris'
