Oh, and I hate the long hiatus thing to. It's actually why I don't watch a lot of popular shows. I hate waiting for True Blood and I won't set myself up like that for another show.

hmph!

Alan Ball will still be executive producer of True Blood, but will not be involved in day to day running of the show.

Season 2 had some of my all time favorite scenes in it.

Eric on the roof with Godric springs to mind.

Eric acting human to get him and Sookie out of the FOS church also springs to mind.

Did y'all hear about this?

Alan Ball Stepping Down as Show Runner of HBO’s ‘True Blood’

Alan BallKevin Winter/Getty Images Alan Ball, center, with the “True Blood” stars Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin.

Alan Ball, the television producer and screenwriter who has helped imbue the supernatural drama “True Blood” with its sex-saturated bite, is preparing to say fangs for the memories to that hit HBO series. The cable network announced on Monday night that Mr. Ball, who won an Academy Award for writing “American Beauty” and an Emmy for directing the pilot episode of his HBO series “Six Feet Under,” would not remain the show runner of “True Blood” for a possible sixth season.

Story here.

One other thing about season two: I found the storyline featuring Mechad Brooks as Eggs Talley to be funny in hindsight because it was very similar to Mechad's role in season two of Desperate Housewives. If a TV series wants a brotha to be the secret killer and get shot and killed himself in the second season finale, hire this guy. lol

More True Blood casting news...

Looks like Claudine's triplet brother and sister Claude and Claudette will be making appearances next season.

Claude, who made a brief appearance in ep 4.1 when Sookie was in Fae, was re-cast and his triplet sister Claudette was just announced as cast today.

I'm still hoping to see Niall. giggle

Nothinbutjoy, I have to ask you something as you are obviosuly a big fan.

I'm late to this series and am about half way through season 2. At first I was not really into it but seem to be getting hooked. Now, being a bit of a geek for detail I expect the lore in these things to be consistent. Just because it's not true, the reality the writers invent should hold.

The first series has Jason getting fucked up on one droplet of V. Then in series 2 Sookie sucked a shit load of blood straight from EriK the viking's chest and there was no effect. I hate this kind of lazines or have I missed something. And yes she would have injested a lot more than one drop and this was confirmed by her pending attraction to Eric.

Or am I just being a geek and shoudn't worry about the details.

If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

O.G. There is no official start date from HBO for the Season 5 season premier.

Lammastide, if they stay a little closer to the books with the Weres this season , it might be a little better.

Lust, Charlaine Harris has said that V affects each human differently from use to use, from source to source. It's magic not science. Very convenient no? * giggle *
