Loathe the Oscars and all of those self-absorbed, self-important people. I will avoid the TV tonight. TYVM. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. Me and my brother have watched every Academy Awards since the early 80s so we have our regular ritual going on. So far, the telecast is kind of rough. Billy Crystal seems to be pressing too hard and the audience is flat. The opening was not as funny as usual, either the movie clips or the "Wonderful Night for an Oscar" song. Hopefully Billy and the show will liven up a bit.
