And how would you have an (almost) Israeli flag in your avvie and NOT support the Spurs? wink

There is something to be said for for supporting your local club. So where in Manchester are you from Dave?

I'm not too fond of the whole "support your local club" shit, because it doesn't make much sense. People should choose who and what they want to identify themselves with and what football club best describes their need for self-realisation.

Even though I'm not from Salford, I've been to Old Trafford often enough (and I've seen a lot of other football grounds and learned a lot about other football clubs before I decided I wanted to follow United) and know everything about United any Manc fan would know. Plus, I'd stick to United even if they were in League 2, so I'm also not just one of those many glory hunters (you're lucky yours must have had enough and went up north to shitty wink).

That's the thing, you support your club through the good and bad, it's about the badge, the history not the current team. I don't get to choose who I support, it's in my blood, like u say, league 2' I'm there. So what you would rather support is irrelevant. If that was what defined who we supported we would all support barcelona, not tottenham.

Would we really? I think there's much, much more to a club than success. Just to name a few things that are equally important and make me especially proud of to be a United fan: the stadium, fans/fan culture, history, players, managers, style of football, transfer policy, amount of home-grown players, etc

Only non league team ever to win the FA Cup ( 1901 )

First British club to win a major European trophy ( European Cup Winners Cup, 1963 )

First club in the 20th century to win the league and FA Cup double ( 1961 )

Well I appologise and stand corrected. That's exaustive.

Along with Man Utd, the only teams to win a trophy in every decade since the 1950s.

First British team to win the Uefa Cup.

First team to have over 60,000 fans at more than one game in a season (60's)

- The top attendance at Highbury was for a boxing match.

First club to go public on the stock exchange.

First team in North London! Arsenal originated from South London.

We got 73 thousand at highbury for a game against Sunderland. As for the rest of it I'm not going to counter with our history as it would embarass you. Everyone on the planet other than spurs fans knows Arsenal are a bigger club by every realistic measure. End of.

Why would I be embarrassed? My self esteem is not measured by how well Spurs are or aren't doing compared to Arsenal. I was merely showing the facts about Spurs' history, which you stated they had none.

I thought you were talking about this team. confuse

I know that No Country for Old Men won the Oscar for Best Picture in 2007, but that came before the San Antonio Spurs beat the Cleveland Cavaliers for the NBA title in 2007, So I guess it actually would be Slumdog Millionaire.

Well that's certainly much more recent than west side story.
