If you are referring to teh Mayan Calendar, the actual Calendar does not represent the end of the World, merely just the end of a Cycle. So December 21st 2012 is teh end of this current cycle and a new one shall begin. Nothing to do with Mass extinction, Alien invasion, Jesus returning with Elvis or anything else like that

I definitely believe in the strong possibility that in ancient times there may've been something that spread civilization across the globe...whether that be an ancient megaculture (such as Atlantis) or ancient extraterrestrial visitors...we probably lost our records of this when the great Library at Alexandria burned to the ground (thank you Romans).

Apparently though, there had been evidence of plant life found that was not native to Egypt etc. But I do believe myself that there was a "Global" network of some kind, the similarities are just too close.

The ONE form of evidence that's pretty impossible to disprove is that they did a toxicology(sic) test on one of the mummies and allegedly found traces of cocaine.

Chewing coca leaves was & still is an important part of indigenous South America...and as you know, the coca plant only grows in South America.

There are numerous pre-colombian statues in South America that show the rulers with a "bulge" in one cheek - signifying chewing coca. Supposedly there's one example in Egyptian artifacts that shows some ruler with a similar "bulge" in one cheek.
