Girl dies after being forced to run for hours A nine year old girl is made to run for 3 hours for punishment and dies
..... "Authorities say 9-year-old Savannah Hardin died after being forced to run for three hours as punishment for having lied to her grandmother about eating candy bars. Severely dehydrated, the Alabama girl had a seizure and died days later. (Feb. 23)"...........

Like I said before, ANY punishment dealt out in anger can cause great harm. Normally making a kid jog around a block or for 15 minutes should sound reasonable, but this....
3 hours??? In the heat of the south? No water? No breaks?? Pure torture.
I am too glad stepmom and grandma are up on charges.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this is prolly not the first time that little girl has been abused. It went seriously wrong this time.

This poor, poor little girl.
I read that it was her paternal grandmother that was with the stepmother. (her dad was away at work overseas.) he took about 8 flights to get home to see her before they took her off life support. And get this....shortly after the stepmother was arrested, the stepmother gave birth......so now the newborn (and the dead girl's 3 year old brother) are left in limbo. No grandmother, a dead sister and no mother.
