This one fits "the bill" both as best & worst, I think.

That looks like something that would have battled Godzilla.

I have no idea where they fit in the best/worst catagory but what sci-fi villian thread would be complete without them.

I can't think of the worst, maybe Ming the Merciless from Flash Gordon:

Too bad, you didn't include Fantasy films, I would have included Tim Curry's brilliant potrayal of the Lord of Darkness in Legend:

disbelief there was nothing wrong with the 1980 Flash Gordon...Now the Ming on the SYFY Flash Gordon (which bombed big time) was lame, and so were the hawkmen.

Best and worst, who knows. But the coolest to me are:

1) Darth Vader

2) Agent Smith

3) Young Jack Napier:

4) Fender Tremolo:

It's not so lovely for the people sitting there though. They're about to be crushed by the planet in the background!

The movie is Melancholia and it's truly great. Best movie I've seen in a long time.

omg

I had no idea what that movie was all about. They really did a bad job promoting it.

Cool though, thanks! Now I want to see it. nod

Well it might not be what you think. It's totally unlike any other end-of-the-world movie. In fact the first half of the movie is about a wedding and although it does give you a feeling of impending doom, it is of another kind that doesn't have anything to do with the planet. The other half, that does focus more on the planet, is slow-burn and poetic. So don't expect Armaggedon 2. It's a whole different type of story.

Before I read this I though it was JUST about a wedding and had no plans to see it. Watched it last night. LOVED it. Depression and her sister Anxiety. The planet was secondary but made for spectacular viewing. I want more films like THIS :hammer:

Warning: it's very slow moving, impatient action film lovers stay away.

I don't know what that is but is sure reminds me of "It", I stayed away from roadside storm drains for weeks, even now I give them the side eye.

Now the clown in "It" horrified me. boxed Till this very day, if I watch the movie, I have this urge to want to look away when it appears.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
