I'm sorry, this may be the wackest car of everyone that contributes to this thread; But I can't help it, I want one of these so bad [minus the "taxi" sign of course]
Not a sports car by any stretch of the imagination, but pimped-up just right, that could def be a mac-daddy set of wheels.
The "weirdest" car I've wanted is this;
A Vespa 400.
Probably drives as you would expect for a car made by a scooter company would...but I'm sure Jay Leno probably and Jerry Seinfeld both own one or two in their collections.
Yeah, I know it's not a sports car by any means, but I'm @ least 6'6, so I stopped picturing myself in sports cars a long time ago. I'm about comfort moreso than exotic sports cars [though I've liked a lot of what's been posted here ]. That Vespa 400 looks really small btw

I was going to jump on this thread and say I want a Trabby, but you posted nearly same thing!
I think I could lift it up and move it by myself if I can't park it right

Yeah...I'm almost a foot shorter than you, so I can imagine myself in that sardine-can-on-wheels.
The Lotus Elise is also tiny.
Sorry man...no sports car for u.
...I guess there are benefits to being on the shorter side!

New ones look cute!
The Vespa is tiny...that older "Trabby" looks roomier.
We don't have Trabant's here (obviously) but that new one you posted reminds me of a MINI Cooper. In fact I thought it WAS a MINI Cooper until I read the nameplate!

If I got a sporty car, it'd be something like this. I wouldn't ever get anything too flash - and I'd want to have as much fun as possible driving it....

 . With a driver because the steering wheel is on the wrong side.
I'm glad to see sports cars still have some personal style to them, at least something still does. I've always loved Cadillacs but starting in the 2000s, they started looking like all the other cars on the street.

Although for some reason, I can't picture anyone under the age of 55 driving a Mercedes.
That's probably because they're expensive and people generally can't afford them until they've reached that age. There's nothing about the Mercedes cars themselves or their design that says "old folks car" though, in my opinion. I think it's the most consistently good-quality brand in the world and it's a real joy to drive them. Luxury and power. Real smooth rides.
I'm an urban subway taker and cars aren't even part of my vocabulary for the last 10 years. But I do like vintage-y stuff...so if I were in a sunny place and fully retired, I'd go for a '68 Karmann Ghia.
