Workday shopping emergencies Ever had one? I'm not talking just ducking out at lunchtime to buy a few things. I mean a bona fide emergency.
Like today...I had to run to Walmart at lunchtime to buy a new set of earbuds because the left side of my old ones died this morning and I couldn't face the daily baby carrot onslaught without iTunes. I actually bought a pair of noise cancelling ones. I have no idea whether they'll actually work, but I'm hoping I won't have to turn the music up quite so loud to drown out my co-workers. I usually leave work with a headache every day.
What have you bought? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. |

Pantyhose tops the list...
pads/tampons, socks, panties (don't ask), pants, gloves, duct tape, flowers and condoms (yeah, not talkin' about that either). |

Good girl!
I like to see people looking after their hearing.
If i'm having a shitty morning at work, i'll usually go out during my lunchbreak and buy stuff.
Today wasn't particularly shitty, but I still went out to buy some foundation. (Max Factor) Then I noticed that if I spent another £5 on Max Factor products, I could get a free 'beauty essentials Kit' Worth about £40. So I also brought some long-lasting lipstick.
I haven't opened the box yet, so not quite sure what I got. ![lol](/i/s/icon_lol.gif)

Man, these things are awesome! I've been able to turn the volume down - and still haven't heard a single carrot snap or munch. The sound seems a little muddy - but I don't even care.
Mid-day make-up shopping is good for the soul. ![nod](/i/s/icon_nod.gif) We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. |

Shoes.
More than once I've worn boots into work for the cold and snow and forgot to bring my shoes along in my bag. So I promptly went out and bought a new pair.

I can relate. We do not want to wear snowboots with a cute outfit. ![hmph!](/i/s/icon_no.gif) We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. |
