You still haven't had a straight answer yet????

Anyway, I had a dental implant done almost 10 years ago. Apart from the acute pain in my wallet, it was remarkably easy. I expected to have far more pain.

The most unsettling thing was the vibration from the drilling but I've had more painful extractions. I hope yours goes as smoothly.

My boyfriend had implants put in. He told me he didn't want partials that were removable since gums tend to shrink back naturally and will not fit properly in a few years.

So he had them placed in his mouth and he was tender for two days. I was sitting on his face just fine after that.

Sadly... I am actually being honest. I was a bit scared because I thought my weight would cause them to crush or I was afraid of them shifting and then look like he was sportin' a bad underbite or something.... nothing bad happened he was fine with me straddling his face.

Once, my 8th grade teacher had it done. Unfortunately a very large cyst grew in her mouth as a result of an allergic reaction, and after it popped and puss finaly drained, half the fluids in her face also drained.

Furtunately for her though, excess fluids also drained from her eyes, and for the first time in her life she had 20/20 vision, although due to a bit of tissue loss, her eyes appeared as little raisons isnide hollowed sockets. Small price to pay for freedom from contacts if you ask me.

Actually, I am in no pain at all right now and Im only taking advil... The actual inscision is tender, but totally tolerable! I still dont wanna get another one, but I too hope I will be glad in the long run...
