^^ eh, same difference, eggs, milk and flour. I think tomorrow would be the perfect excuse to hunt down several of the most perfect Belgian waffles. shrug

Sort of but THINNER

Self raising flour or baking soda or whatever it is that makes pancakes so fat tastes weird to me, and I can only eat about one in a sitting, but give me a stack of crepes, actually you better not redface

The pancake thing seems to be a bigger deal in the Anglosphere beyond the U.S. But, yep, Americans are catching up. Enjoy the day, morningstar.

...But what are you giving up for Lent? wink

er

Mmm Mmm, yummy- just having my pancakes for dinner. I usually make crepes & chef up a tasty dish called Crespelle alla fiorentina, thin crepes filled with a creamy sauce of spinach, onion & parmesan, put in a dish & covered in béchamel sauce & Parmesan & cooked in the oven until golden. It's delicious. But tonight I experimented & made the crepes with a creamy filling of leeks & Aberdeen Boneless (finest Scottish smoked haddock), served with a little salad of watercress & red onion. Holy smokes it's a taste sensation! I love Shrove Tuesday! biggrin
