A question for the techies...

Lords of the techno world, I need thine help...

Today when I was in class, my cell rang several times (or rather vibrated). I look to see who's calling, and it says a girlfriend of mine (let's call her "Sophie"). But....she was sitting beside me, typing on her computer! eek

It was her cell number, so it couldn't have been anyone else phoning from her home phone number. It happened several times throughout the day and when I asked her about it, she said that her phone said that I called her (2 missed calls). I didn't call her at all....

I found out that a boy who sits behind me (he's also our class webmaster, let's call him "Dimitri"), was the one pulling this prank on me. When I asked him why, he said "just for fun". confused i have no idea how he did it.

I don't understand why he'd do this with me of all people. I mean, I hope it's just good natured humour and he's not gonna make my life miserable. I've done nothing but help this kid out when he's studying and he does this?? mad

Any techies in the audience know how he did this? If so, please explain it to me...

And if he can do this...does this mean he can hack into my computer as well? eek How can I protect myself?

protecting yourself is simple. at the end of class, take the laptop off him, smack him across the motherfucking head with it until it breaks, and i can guarantee it won't happen again
