Okay, White -girl question; What exactly is a do rag? I mean, I've seen them and I think they're cute, I would love to wear a light blue one or a maybe a pink one but where exactly do you purchase a do rag? Or is it just a cloth strategically folded and tied? This is a serious question because I've thought before about how cute it would be when I wear my hair up ( I have long black hair) anyway, where do I get one? smile

Cloth used to cover your head, mostly for hair reasons, but some do use it for style.

SVZ has been all about the bandana since 1982 (even wore one, occasionally, as far back as 1975):

I'll make it simple.

Bandanas do not have two strings at the back. Do-rags do.

since i wear my hair in long dreads, i cover my hair at night

i have several different colored scarves. (no, that's not me in the pix. i don't show my face online. don't want a stranger to act as if they know me.)
