Yeah 1979-1981, 1993-1995 Stevie looked very nice (and cool) with the braids and his cornrow style in the '70s was groundbreaking but dude just looks stupid with it now.

Don't wear do-rags (cause aren't those for keeeping close cropped hair in a wave pattern?) but I tie a silk head scarf around my head every night to keep it straight and guard against split ends. I was just watching the movie Cadillac Records the other night with my guy, and he had a revelation when he saw Garielle Union onscreen playing a 1960's housewife-- that it wasn't just me who did this head wrap at night thing (his previous mates of color were usually dreadlocked or shaved head girlies) : I'm a creature of habit: come 10:30 every night I'm turning on Moonlighting and pulling out my head scarf like clockwork
