While I have enjoyed the numerous BFing threads on the org, my problem is suddenly this movement is becoming Militant bout it. Its like they think they are the new PETA. I think the majority of people are fine with breastfeeding in public if done in a subtle manner.

Yes maybe this purtian nation is still a bit backwards, but lots of people don't want to see your tits at Chili's or changing your bundle of joy shit stained diapers in the food court at the mall. I think some folks think cause they squeezed a new lil rugrat out they are suddenly elevated above everyone else. Having a child isn't special its actually routine.

Me personally, I really don't care. I was on the bus and this lady had her child with her and when the child started acting up , she whipped her titty out on the bus and TRIED to shove it in the childs mouth, just like that. It didn't work. I was kind of surprised because I don't get to see many boobs in person but I was over it in like 10 seconds. It's just a boob. I guess people are cool if you're cool with how you go about it. I don't know...I feel like I'm rambling.

and did u all know that when babies r hungry they dont understand about waiting 5 minutes they want 2 eat on the spot

plus i actually rather see this than hear a screaming hungry bub

i always used bottles, but lots of mums never do, they think its better for their baby and healthier str8 from their boob!!!

the most shocking place i ever saw someone breast feed was in church, during a wedding!!!!

but the way i see it is if the mother feels comfortable then its ok, u dont have to look and there r far worse things out there than seeing a mother do whats most natural ~ ie 2 feed her baby!!!

dont 4get u were all babies once nibbling on that titt, and prob in public 2

funny thing is how i get 2 tease my kids about how they loved my milk - they always look horrifed like i forced it on them

I think that's the whole idea

I have 3 kids, and none of them took a bottle of pumped breastmilk except my 3rd one. I only pumped because I had to though while she was in the hospital getting her surgery done. If it hadn't been for the fear that my breastmilk would have dried up while she was in there I never would have pumped to begin with.

With the 3 times I breastfed babies, I RARELY breastfed in public and I was very uncomfortable when I did have too. The majority of the time though I would just go out to my car or into a dressing or restroom.

That being said, I think it is a fucking OUTRAGE that ANYONE is saying women shouldn't breastfeed in public. And for those of you saying, to pump and bottle feed, well a lot of babies experience nipple confusion. Not to mention it is a lot of work added onto an already stressful time to have to pump and what not.

I do think it's ridiculous that women feel the need to nurse their baby right at the table in a resturant ........ It would be nice if there were little designated areas or something in restrooms. I know that would have saved me a lot of grief when I was nursing.
