Mike Tyson sucks to the Max!

Come on... how can anyone think that Mike Tyson is even a shell of what he once was?

If you think that he is great, you are wrong.

he could do re-enactments for shows like E! True Hollywood story when they do an episode about... say... Mike Tyson & Robin Givens Marriage ... or Mike Tyson's Rape Trial ... or Mike Tyson's Road Rage Trial ... or Mike Tyson Biting People's Ears Off ... or... what have you... he'd be perfect!

yeah...maybe he could pull it off... as long as he could ad-lib and didn't have to remember any lines

on a side note... i heard that hollywood is trying to do a new movie on his life story...only problem is ..they're having trouble finding a lead actor for the film, as before each scene they will be taken aside and beaten repeatedly over the back of the head with a blunt object...to help them get into character... nod .. there's also the issue of the rubber band around the nuts to help with the voice imitation

cut n pasted this from the other Tyson thread, but as it is a matter close to my heart,

i felt like i needed to post it on your thread to. ..

Tyson definitely has the skill, strength and style to beat most if not all of the fighters, who currently reside in the heavy weight division, including Lennox Lewis and most definitely Evander Holyfield.

He still cuts an impressive figure, has excellent ring craft, can still punch, can still take a punch, and in my opinion is still hella fast. Tyson is not just a banger, but can move and box. In the 80/90's there was no one around that pushed him to use all of his skills and now he has to prove himself, he hasn't done enough work to fully recognise his potential, to show us all of his skills.

What i believe to be his downfall is firstly his lack of focus, not whilst in the fight, one can never say that Mike hasn't given his all in any of his fights. But in preparation, for and in his daily living. It is obvious the boy has not been able to win the most important fight and that is the one with his inner demons.

His absence from the ring whilst he was incarcerated, obviously had its toll and Mike should have started at the bottom and worked his way up again. His fundamental mistake was trading on his name, without being able to back it up with his skills.

Thus leading to his present predicament, there is no one out there that can test him, that he can fight so as to hone his accuracy and speed, and give him a challenge to focus upon.

Therefore he is in no position to fight those that can test him such as Lewis, the Klitschko brothers or even Byrd. Because he has not done the work to beat them, fights lasting minutes look impressive, but are hardly a good foundation to learn from.

Tyson is held in high esteem by the black community and the working classes, he represents the struggle of black ppl, of poor ppl, against the machine of oppression that is present day politics. I am not sure if he deserves this idolization, back in the day it was the Joe "Brown bomber" Lewis, then Muhammad "the greatest" Ali and now Iron Mike Tyson. But from what I know of him and have seen of him i respect him totally, as a man and a fighter.

I love fighters and fighting, it is one of the most important parts of my life, i don't give my love away to many boxers, maybe out of jealousy, usually out of criticism of what i see as a flawed style. But Tyson represents a force that can never be denied, he is intelligent and articulate and it is about time the media stop portraying him as an animal.

And i think we Tyson fans, live in hope that he will overthrow these images and once again conquer.

Just like Ali did in Zaire, when he shook the world.

And as great as Lennox Lewis definitely is, and i don't mean no disrespect but the brother couldn't shake a salt pot let alone the world.

Very well put. I drove 10 hours to the Memphis fight and I don't have any complaints about the fight. If he gets his head together mentally and if they allow him, I think he could definitely be the Champ again. I hope he does make a comeback, but who knows with all the political boxing bs. I agree, he is his own worst enemy right now. But, he did look great in the ring Saturday night (at least for 49 seconds wink).

Come on... how can anyone think that Mike Tyson is even a shell of what he once was?

If you think that he is great, you are wrong.

But from what I know of him and have seen of him i respect him totally, as a man and a fighter.

lol

High esteem? While I won't even try to speak for entire "black community" my own little survey indicates that most of us thnk he's an ear-chewing, weird-ass rapist. But other than that I'm sure he's a great guy. wink

hmm

u from texas right

nod
..

Of course, most Texans are kinda anti-rapist. I know it's weird, but that's how we are.

Yup, anti-rapist, anti-wife beater, anti-asshole. We definitely have some strange notions down in Texas.

He will still get f**ked by Lewis
