First of all *****spoilers*****

I saw Paranormal Activity 3 in the theater when it was out, but i rented it on video to try and look for secret scenes i missed. One of the first things i watched in slow motion was at the last frame of the film, where the tape footage ends. There is a few seconds of static before the credits. When I seen this at the theater, i just knew there HAD to be something in there. Well, there is! In one frame that appears in the static, there is the image of Julie(Katie and Kristi's mom) and Dennis's bed with a fire in the middle of it. Even though the tape was supposedly used last at the grandmothers house, apparently we see in this frame the beginning of the famed house fire that destroyed Katie and Kristi's house.

Also there is a one frame shot of Katie and Kristi baking in the kitchen in chef hats in the static that opens the portion of the 1988 video footage.

I scoured the internet for 2 hours and couldn't find anything on the internet for discussions on this. Likewise, when I saw a secret one frame shot on Paranormal Activity 2, I couldn't find anyone else discussing it. It is towards the end, where the power goes out and Hunter's sister Ali briefly loses Hunter before he shows up in the basement. If you watch the following few seconds in slo mo, you will see Hunter crawling outside in the street for one frame only. Just a split second earlier he was upstairs in the house.

One more thing...I did find a short interview with Katie Featherston, and she says that there are secrets in one room in PA 3. She said that the filmmakers had to revisit a room used previously in one of the other Paranormal activity films, but when they recreated it, they decided to slightly change it, and there is a reason they did this and this room contains secrets. I'm betting on the basement in Kristi's house. Didn't it open through a door by the living room? In PA 3 it shows them entering it down some stairs without a door...more like a regular stairwell.

Hmmm. I'll have to download the DVD rip and check some of this out. I saw it when it came out, of course, but missed all of the nuances one can find by pausing it and shit.

I don't own any of the DVD's - but me thinks I should buy them.

Yeah, my sister, my friends and I are fans. All 3 movies have been pretty solid, which is amazing because most "horror" movies that come out now suck, and amazing because "sequels" usually suck. The fact that the film makers can pull off both and keep them fresh and interesting is great in this day and age.

By the way, I believe the room change I referenced earlier IS the basement. The only thing they show from the other films is Hunter's room and the basement, and from what we see of Hunter's room is not noticeably different, and the change I see in the basement is not the structure, but some of its contents. Namely, when Katie first descends the stairs and stops to talk to the camera, you see a rag doll baby in a woven basket which was not there when you see the same area in PA 2. I think this may be one of the clues....maybe the rag doll represents the baby(Hunter?), and the basket is symbolic of either an offering(of the baby?) or it is symbolic of the baby being given to Kristi rather than it being hers, you know like the stereotypical leaving your baby that you dn't want in a basket with a note on someone else's doorstep? I don't know... just throwing things out there.

Another change in the basement is that there are much more baby items in the clutter than we see in PA 2 like a baby stroller and alot more dolls, etc.

Another thing I was thinking about...the demon must be some kind of very angry, women's lib extremist. All husbands are killed and it blows up 2 kitchens!

Sure I do. I am just a fan of the franchise and I like digging through movies like this, that offer hidden clues and symbolism that the director has thrown in that may not be apparent on first viewing.

omg...Ilove stuff like this. I hadn't purchased the DVD's so I haven't looked....
