Step... now u know damn well Tyson isnt a boxer... hes a street fighter.. a brawler..he throws a good punch but cant "box" its now at the point i think Shannon Briggs could put him on his ass...LOL all Mike was... was a street fighter... what would happen if Mike Tyson and say i dont know.. David Tua... got it on...

hey brotha

i have seen Tyson up close and personal.

when he was last in the UK for his fight with Julius Francis. He moved around the ring, controlling the whole damn thang. street fighting lasts minutes, its frantic, violent and usually there is no control. Tyson doesn't hit n run, he'll come at u again and again. That's not a street fighting thats a professional.

Tyson can box, he can move, when he needs to he can even duck a punch. the boy is exremely fast, and when those punches connect, then they say hell hath no fury.

His biggest failure has been that he hasn't really show cased his skills.

He has to do the work, i don't think age is an issue, he just needs to stop relying on his name and fight good fighters to build up his skills in the ring.

Holyfield WAS beating Tyson decisively in the rematch and would have gone on to knock him out again...just like the first time. Tyson knew this and bit Holyfield on BOTH ears.

Tyson cannot beat Holyfield.
you got alot of Nerve telling Someone who watched the Fight Directly&Saw Tyson's Face Swole from Holyfield putting a Knot up on Tyson's Forhead&Not with his Fist.replay that 3rd Round&you see Holyfield hanging on for dear life&after that Fight every Cat He Fought said He was doing cheap Tactics.Mike Tyson the People's Champion&The True Soul Brother Champion. The Black Man that has Forever Flipped the Fight Game&The Money.Haters need to Leave Tyson alone because they don't Understand It's a Black Thang Why Peeps like Myself Want Him Back as HeavyWeight Champion!

A lot of nerve???

I am simply a huge fan of boxing and I study fighters... Tyson CAN NOT beat Lewis, Klitschko, Holyfield or Byrd.

He has a chance against Byrd, but Byrd will out box him, frustrate him and win an easy decision. The only chance he has is to catch Byrd with a solid shot.

Tyson vs. Tua is a toss-up.
Tyson vs. Ruiz is a toss-up.
Tyson vs. Kirk Johnson - Tyson wins.
Tyson vs. Wlad Klitschko - Klitschko by KO
Tyson vs. Vitali Klitschko - probably Klitschko by decision.
Tyson vs. Chris Byrd - Byrd by decision
Tyson vs. Holyfield - Holyfield by decision or late KO
Tyson vs. Lewis - Lewis by mid-round KO
Tyson vs. Lance Whitaker - Tyson by KO
Tyson vs. Fres Oquendo - Tyson by KO

I'm a fan of boxing as well and from what I've read and seen of the Chris Byrd/ Holyfield fight, Evander does headbutt when things aren't going his way. Byrd even said this. It's in this month's Boxing Digest I believe.

I do like Tyson although I have to admit that he's not like he was during '85-88 where I think he was unstoppable. The "old" Mike would set up his punches with the jab, GO TO THE BODY, bob and weave through the opponent's offense and then counter, cut off the ring, you know, all around ring generalship. I HATE to say it but Mike today doesn't do these things or if he does, doesn't do them often enough.

Hell, I fight in continuous fighting in Chinese Martial Arts
tournaments and base my fight game plan on the old Mike's
style. Slip, bang to the body, set up for the head shot, Bang, then slip back out and reset. Simple and effective. Efficent. The old Mike was beautiful to watch in the ring.
Remember Trevor Berbick?
BTW, interesting you mentiioned Chris Byrd. He's a southpaw, has Mike fought any southpaws in his career? I never really thought about it.

I cannot remember Tyson ever fighting a Southpaw... what's even worse is that Byrd is not only a Southpaw, he is SLICK. He is like a big Pernell Whitaker. Tyson does not want any part of him.

Oh man, I don't think anyone in the HW division wants Byrd. It's hard as hell to fight a southpaw. They just embarass you in the ring. My instructor is southpaw so I'm used to it and I have to readjust to orthodox fighters. But still they move so slick like you said. Are all southpaws this way? Bastards. mad

Since we're on the boxing tip, anybody near NYC? There's a famous gym in Brooklyn but I forget the name. Gleason's? I'm thinking it's called something else. I wanna check it out. A lot of champs trained there.

Absolutely. But at one time very early in his career he was doing a little more boxing and had the potential to take it further, but never did and eventually became the brawler he is. I agree with that article that someone posted about a bunch of people in Tyson's camp who can only see dollar signs and never cared about him. This has been apparent to me for YEARS.

Lewis is too big and too strong for Tyson.Lewis can pick Tyson off at will with his jab, as he did before.Tyson is incapable of changing his style now, and his lack of side to side movement will be exposed yet again, remember Lewis is a tactician, and studies his opponents better than anyone out there.

as a Brit, Lennox makes me proud, one or two more defences and then it's out i hope, he doesn't have anything to prove, he's fought and beaten everyone put in front of him, and never ducked anyone. He's been a great Champ!

worship LENNOX LEWIS! woot!

The fight was a joke and another blight on heavy weight boxing.

That sucker got hit hard but he just laid there and gave up very quickly, even making the effort to remove his mouthgard whilst laying back.

What a joke. I'm glad my brother has got an illegal cable connection and i didnt have to pay to see it. biggrin

Your punctuation messes me up, sometimes, buddy. Are you saying Tyson is straight black, or are you saying he's straight AND he's black?
