Do you use WEN (that overpriced [not] shampoo they sell on QVC)?

If so...do you cleanse, rinse, repeat? Or keep it movin' after one wash?

Yes, honestly I do like WEN. My mother got it for me from QVC and I was skeptical.

I tried the pomegranate and noticed my hair was not as dry and more manageable.

Just to be sure it worked, I stopped using for a couple of weeks, went back to it and my hair is much more conditioned. There is a mild foaming/creaminess and has some astringent that makes your head feel like it's mildly cleansed.

Try it.

ThankUPrince!

OMG lol

I can not think of this product and not think of "purplemookiebut". She was a 30 year old orger who still lived with her mother and bitched about not having any privacy. Plus she was deeply in debt.

Anyway, the day she let it out that she just charged up for tons of this product despite not really having any money for food and shelter was the day that the other orgers really gave it to her. She was a shop aholic. I bet most of Wen's customers are also shopaholics, lol .

I ordered some about a month ago. My first couple uses I did wash, rinse, repeat. My scalp felt all cool, tingly, and minty fresh. Then I started doing just a single cleanse because my scalp began getting sore. I was probably rubbing too hard; trying to make up for the fact that there isn't much lather. But a couple days ago I went back to wash, rinse, repeat and got that cool, minty tingle again. And I noticed immediaely that my hair was/is much softer and shinier (without any product in it) and lays much nicer. My natural curls/waves are taking shape much better too. I was on the fence about the product but I'm going to stick with it a while longer.

No.....conditioning!????? eek

Blasphemy!!!

I've never tried it because I'm skeptical of it. I have HUMUNGOUS CURLY HAIR (think Diana Ross big), and if this thing doesn't lather properly, I might end up overusing it. neutral

If there are any woman on the org with similar hair who have had exceptionally good results with it, I'd like to hear more about it. Do you have to mail order it or you can pick it up from a CVS? lol

Well, I can't think about this product without thinking of that creature Chaz whatever who created it/ he was on an episode of Jeff Lewis' Flipping Out show on Bravo. There was a homeless person named "Spirit" who he let sleep in his garden (of his big mansion) He raved on the show about what a good person and what a spiritual person he was to let poor dirty ole Spirit sleep in his fancy garden and then at the end of the show Spirit was found dead in the garden. They said Spirit died of "dehydration". I wondered why this wonderful giving guy couldn't give Spirit a glass of water? I wouldn't buy this asshole's hair product.

You have to splash several handfuls of water onto your head while you're working it through your hair in order to produce a nice foamy lather. 'Cause the product is very thick and the addition of more water (even when your hair is already soaking wet) really gets the WEN evenly dispersed thoughout your hair. Right now I just have a little natural about an inch long and I need 3 pumps per wash to feel like the stuff is accomplishing anything. No, you won't find it at CVS but some salons might have it. With all that hair you got you better wait for the gallon to go on sale. Seriously.

I may try it just out of curiosity. I saw the WEN advertisement, and the guy who endorses it looks like an white version of Prince nod My opinion of course.

lol This sounds like typical crazyiness. "Spirit" was probably on "spirits" which dehydrate you. I can not imagine that there was not some sort of faucet in a fancy garden for the hoses to water that garden to be attacked to.

Hmmmmm. I've never heard of it. How expensive is it?

I have terribly frizzy hair. If I don't take a shit load of time to 'do it' it frizzes and curls.

I've been using Lanza for about half a yr now, and it is THEE best shampoo/conditioner I've tried thus far ever, but I find it expensive. (For me) Also Morracon Hair oil help me out too.

I see alot of people mentioning expense and one of the cheapest and best things you can use on your hair is coconut oil. Has anyone tried it? You don't shampoo with it but after you hair is dry, just a little coconut oil will smooth your hair unbelievably. And it's super cheap! I use it for my hair, as a moisturizer, it's fantastic.

Prince uses olive oil and I have heard of that before.

Plus there is a product called "Kiss Your Face" soaps, shampoos and moisturizers that have olive oil in them. I have not purchased them recently but years ago I was pretty religious about using them and especially loved the bar of soap.

About $20-$25 for a 16 oz. bottle.
