Not having a head-spinning, sweat inducing, coughing up mouthfulls of liquid sickness makes me happy.

They don't give me happiness like before, but this is what I used to do to give myself a boost

Sing

Right now what I think makes me happy is:

Valuing personal space, whether by myself or with close family

Drinking tea

Eating my favourite foods/fine dining

Talking about my feelings

Knowing I have security

Working on my album/scrapbook

Reading

Watching comedies/sitcoms that really make you think

Sitting with my cat

Dressing up

at present, designing and decorating my "recording studio".

Typing stuff on Word makes me at ease. So does watching my favorite show or movie on DVD. Music, of course. And doing things for my parents.

I have to admit that I feel happy when I'm budgeting and have made my payments, makes me feel sane and in control, so I totally agree with some of you

I like logic puzzles and sudoku too, I used to buy those books, but haven't in a really long time. I guess it's a good distraction from stress aside from the net.

I have to agree with this too. Though paying bills does get on my nerves because of what my balance looks like after, I do feel satisfaction in writing those checks (or paying online) knowing that I do have the money to pay them. It would be much worse if I'm paying bills and already in the red knowing that 3 more are left to pay.

Do something completely sparatic and nonsensical like jump in the car and drive, to the Arizona border, over to Baja Cali, down old PCH past LA, then turn around and come back. Okay, I like looking at the big open scenery. Go up to the monument and just sit and fall in love with my city then go home. Paint a wall one of my favorite colors, heck paint a room. Go to the art museum when nobody's there.
