Canadian freestyle skiier, Sarah Burke, dies from injuries sustained during training Sarah Burke, a four time X Games champion freestyle skiier, died today from injuries sustained nine days ago during training for the next X Games event. She had lobbied successfully to have her penultimate event featured in the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.
