...but the original creator (Dan Curtis) has already done this, way back in 1970, with "House Of Dark Shadows". It was "fulfilling" enough for the audience that a sequel was made in 1971!

Yes this is true and introduced the world to Kate Jackson, but the backstory was already in place. So the 2 movies had a structure. I just dont see how DS is gonna work, with the mythology, into a movie.

I'm not bothered by either one of them being in his movies and I can't really grasp why it peeves people in general. Its very old Hollywood of them to continue to work together like this. Plus, it allows for a great deal of comfort and risk taking when all parties involved are used to working together. I think Johnny Depp would do just about anything Tim Burton asked him to do, character wise. A lot of actors wouldn't take those risks.

It doesn't bother me that Tim Burton works with the same actors either. The previous poster must have a problem with Helena Bonham Carter because as I noted, if you're going to accuse Burton of favoritism, why not go after the one actor that has been in more of his movies than anyone else?

I don't care what anyone says. This is going to be the best movie of the year! I can feel it!
