Tech Help: How can I get Mini DV tapes onto my PC?

Hi there

I have a JVC video recorder which records onto mini DV tape and i was wondering if there was any way i could transfer the tape onto my PC?

connect camcorder to pc/mac via firewire and use some software. you can get pci firewire cards pretty cheap if your pc doesn't have one as it's mostly used by macs
