Kobe Bryant...

To continue the Kobe Bryant thread...hopefully with no flames? What's up Battier? MisterMaxx is cool I think.

On with Kobe...IMO the best player in the game today. To whoever that was comparing Garnett to Kobe...and remarked on Kobe's defense...Kobe has been 1st team All Defensive for like the past 5 years!!! He certainly does not lack on the defensive end.

Agreed he shoots alot, but he is shooting 46% which is pretty good. Over this current scoring streak he's 50%

Kobe is on a better team for sho and plays with arguably the best player in the league when he's healthy in Shaq...but KG ain't even taken his team past the 1st round during his career. Szerbiak was an All-Star last year for what's it worth. He's had some talent and arguably a better supporting cast than the rest of the Lakers. While good role players, Horry, Fisher, George, etc. can't create their own shot.

I think Kobe is well on his way to being one of the greatet NBA players ever. We will be debating Kobe vs. Jordan for years to come. Kobe ain't there yet...

My current top 10:

Kobe
Shaq (when healthy)
Duncan
McGrady
Kidd
Garnett
Iverson
Webber
Nowitski
Francis

He's on another level right now and he is starting to believe he is the man. He will only get better barring some major injury. It's Shaq's team, but Kobe is running thangs right now.

There's some surreal stuff happening out there; they're rooting for Kobe in some opposing arenas. During the Knicks game they oooh'd and ahhh'd and some Knicks fans cheered for him recently in New York. During the Utah game in Utah tonight they chanted "mvp" for the guy.

Bizzaro world...

My current top 5-

Kobe Bryant
Tracy McGrady
Bonzi Wells
Steve Francis
Michael Redd

Mike Redd went to Ohio State- he is awesome! He is averaging 15 PPG but only plays an average of 28 MPG. He set the NBA record for three-point field goals made in a period with his eight 3FGM in the fourth period vs. Houston on 2/20/02.

Peace!

I've been mad @ Tracy McGrady ever since he hit Bobby Jackson in the head w/ the ball evil That was SO rude!! :X So I'd never watched him play... until the damn all star game. Now I'm a fan & I can't stand it. I hate him but he's GOOD... sigh

JD, I don't watch Wells enough to know, but you'd put him above his headcase teammate Rasheed Wallace?

A logical conclusion to come to; I just saw Chris Webber with a puss filled zit protruding out of the side of his face at the Celtics/Kings game tonight.
