New Year's Resolutions?

What are your big plans?

I am not too big on New Years Resolutions, but I must admit it always crosses my mind.

This year I plan to work hard to get a new job.

I would like to eat less junk and get a little more cardio.

I'd like to waste less time

All the usual shit!

My new years started Oct 31/Nov1 ...

one of my main goals was to spend less time online ~ here and FB ... and I have done just that

Another was to replace all plastic containers for my Witchy stuffs into Blue glass Zinc lid Ball canning jars ~ I am over 50% there on that biggrin

Some more personal ones that have been going well ... improving my mental and physical life as well as my sex life

Things are going well thus far thumbs up!

It's a bad habit ( spending/wasting too much time online ) Mine got out of hand the last few yrs as my Mom was slowly dying ~ I spent my Daze here while she sat in the chair ...

anyway

there is far more to life that the internet ~ FB and p.org

far far more

I make resolutions all the time... but when the party season is over I want to get into the routine of running regularly again. I'm slipping.

I really want to start running again too. But last time I got back into it, my knee & achilles were hurting. I might try super short ones to get back on track

I usually don't make them, but I think I need to make some changes...

  • LOSE WEIGHT/EXERCISE: I ate myself into oblivion and stopped working out while I was finishing my dissertation. Now I'm "Dr, Fat Ass". confused
  • Stop cursing. I constantly talk to the kids about their language, but mine isn't much better. censored
  • Work out some aspects of my personal life... redface
  • Manage my finances better. [img:$uid]http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/zz192/denistephenson/smileys/smiley%20money/money1.gif[/img:$uid]

I might have to add to the list:

Try to be less angry with the people simply trying to live their own lives, but trying to do so in the same grocery store, the same freeway, the same sidewalk, etc. that I am.

  • start school (my husband and i begin in jan.) study and do well....
  • get my house organized once and for all, i need to buy book shelves, dressers, etc. in order to do so.
  • lose weight (i say this every year, but this year i have to take it more serious, i just don't feel well, and i'm too young for that!) i think this will be the most diffcult part for me, because i do not lose weight easily at all, it's a huge struggle for me.
  • get involved in local mission work, i used to focus more on going to another country for this, but i realize there is just way too much that needs done right here in my own community.
  • do whatever i can to help my husband find a new job, the one he has now is not getting him anywhere, and although we feel blessed that he is currently employed. he is not happy in any way with his job, and puts up with a lot of abusive behavior in order to make a living and support our family. so i want him to do something where he will be treated more fairly.

if i can get these things done in 2012, i will be more than happy with myself! biggrin

Yeah... those 5 shows I attended in NJ/NYC between Dec. & Feb. were the beginning of the end.

As soon as I bought tix to two of the shows, I went into the basement to get something, and my boiler had leaked all over the place. I had to replace it... sigh

Now my student loans have started... disbelief

I have never really made any in my life, but if I had to:

*Graduate this Spring with honors (I am getting there) biggrin

*Enroll at Oklahoma University to work on getting ABA certified to go with my degree in paralegal studies.

*Focus more on my health, not just losing some weight, but my mental well being. My life is crazy and it's time to clean some things up and start focusing on ME!

*Apply and hopefully find a paralegal position in a family law firm.

*Spend more time with my grandbabies.

*Focus on getting over my fears (these horrible things hold me back so much in life)

My daughter and son in law are currently doing this...I hear their horror stories about sweat and vomit! biggrin But have seen changes in them both, so it's all worth it in the end.
