i just found out that a friend of mine was in that fire and he is burned over 60% of his body...


fuck he has kids and a wife...

I just saw a girl on tv saying she has 2nd degree burns on the back of her legs from burning bodies piled on top of her.

The Rhode Island niteclub fire is a very devastating event and it is the worst event in Rhode Island's history. I lived in Rhode Island my entire life and never dreamed anything that bad would happen in a state where not much happens. I have a friend who lives only a mile away from that club. In fact, he was just there last week. I'm glad he wasn't there last nite (or me for that matter). My grandmother called me today to make sure that I wasn't one of the ones caught in the blaze. I told her that I was fine. I hung up the phone and gave pause. It could have been me.

Pyrotechnics should NOT be used in any of the indoor small nightclubs whatsoever. Using them in a large arena is safer,but still why use them at all and put peoples lives at risk. There are too many problems with them and a show or concert can go on with out them.

I'm terribly sorry that hear about your friend being burned and I hope that he will be able to make it thru this terrible time.
