I also live in the metro area (MPLS-ST. PAUL), and I am so so so happy about the weather right now. I am miserable most winters because I get the blues real bad. But I guess at the end of the day I have a love-hate relationship with winter. So I can't say I love it, but I know that Minnesota wouldn't be the same without the winter.

Winter can have its charms, but I don't think I'd miss it. Maybe with global warming the temps won't drop so low and I can enjoy it more?

I love fall too, and winter certainly can be beautiful. What I do dislike about winter however

is when the temps drop below the zero mark. I hate bundling up from head to foot

I hate the winters

Like Ace said, it's nice..on pictures or for one day

But this year I was so prepared for it (anti slip things for under your shoes, anti freeze for the car, poncho ) and all we have is storm and rain

I really only hate the lack of humidity & the super windy days in Winter. If the humidity is up & the wind is very slight, I don't mind low temperatures....

I can take the cold far more than I can take the heat for some reason

I lost control over my emotions and posted how much I hate winter, plus some nice summer pictures I´d taken over the years.

But then I had second thoughts and didn´t want to ruin your winter thread, so I edited my posts and tried to find at least ONE thing I like about winter.

But....you seem to be a kind, understanding person....maybe I SHOULD post how I really feel about winter.

We've barely had any winter weather here in the lower peninsula of Michigan. Temps, for the most part, have been way above normal and only a few snow flurries here and there. I'm beginning to feel a little cheated. I was looking forward to it after the excruciatingly hot summer we had.

Berautiful photos. We didn't have any snow this winter yet. So these are old pictures. The first one is from a hike in a park we took in my city and and the second one is showing the look out of my living room window.

As much as I love Winter, I could do without a repeat of what went down last year here in Chicago. My arms still ache something fierce from time to time over that snow. On the other hand, hearing that we're gonna be in the mid to upper 40s this week seems odd. I'm used to butt-freezing and booger crystalizing temps around this time of year.

My favorite Winter picture is of my dad, outside bbq-ing like a fool!

Winter is like a set of wisdom teeth.

It's useless, doesn't belong, and can fuck up your whole mouth.

......K, the last part doesn't make sense but it sounded good.

As several of you from the upper midwest (Mpls/St.Paul, Michigan, Chicago) have mentioned,

a lot of us haven't had much winter this year. Christmas Day here in the Mpls area was gorgeous,

sunny, balmy and absolutely no snow. If I remember correctly, it hit roughly 45 degrees F

...one of the 5th warmest Christmases on record here!

I feel badly for any of you guys that are winter sports nuts, however....not a great winter for

skiing, sledding, and snowmobiling, for sure.

And just for the record, my preferred temps are between 32 to 75 degrees F.
