I agree with you. I'm still hoping to find someone leaving his/her dog's shit on the street. I won't leave him/her go away without picking it up.

In Madrid, you can't walk peacefully on the streets. You must look down constantly to avoid dog's turds.

I live in a section of the city were there is a high dog/person ratio. Almost every household owns a dog and people have to constantly look down in order to prevent stepping in dog poo.

I went over the scenario of the large dog over and over in my mind... there is really nothing you can do other than report the dog as a menace to authorities.

You would have to know where the dog lives.

I would report it because if the dog does that to a child and the child reacts in a bad way, the child stands a good chance at getting bit.

I hope this large dog was a large puppy/adolescent dog.

it jumped at me because i picked up my dog to protect it, i was lucky the dog owner was not far, i dont know where this guy lives,

i often see the same ppl walking their dogs in the area, i think he is new, and hopefully he soon learns that his dog needs a lead!!!! i actually told him he should get one!!!

if i see him again, and his dog is not on a lead ~ he will b told!!!!

It's the liability aspect, because there is no question in that regard. If your dog does something stupid and someone chooses to complain or press charges it's automatically your fault if the dog was not on a leash. Nothing is going stop people from being stupid anyway.

I've seen people walk their dogs, one dog on a leash and another without. They couldn't afford 2 leashes?

I've lost count how many times I've walked around the neighborhood and saw strays. Back in May, I was leaving my house and going to the store when 2 pitbulls came walking, saw me, circled me twice then went on their way. Scared the hell out of me

In the UK we have Poop Laws, if you dont "scoop the poop" you can face a fine of upto £100 !!!

Gotta love it, as I have to dodge the Dogshit on a Daily basis. One of my Neighbours let her dog poop in my Driveway, then left it, So I scooped it up and delivered it through her letterbox..........I hate Dogshit..........

Some dog owners are morons! Of course he'll bite! He's a fucking dog! That's what they do, bite!!!!

And the dog owner is very lucky the dog didn't bite you. Most cities have leash laws. If a dog is off the leash and hurts a human or another animal, the dog owner will always be responsible for the medical bills and pain & suffering in cases where a human is attacked. For some reason, it just doesn't register with a lot of dog owners they are are responsible for their unleashed dog's behavior.
