Older White Guy---Part II Okay, so tonight we were supposed to meet up after a group meeting and.....he WASN'T there at all. So, I'm guessing he got stage fright and freaked out or perhaps he's married. I have no idea but I sent him an email saying, "Sorry you missed the meeting, hopefully we can meet up for coffee some other time." He never misses meetings at all, so it's weird he missed tonight....
So, I guess Viagra DOESN'T give all the "older guys" confidence afterall..... Trolls be gone! |

It's his move now. If he doesn't call or contact you...then just move on.

Dude didn't show, didn't call ahead of time, why entertain a call now? Word: if he does call and says (let's say)...his hair caught fire....tell him, wow that's too bad and you hope he's ok but you're in the middle of washing your hair and need to go.
Obviously he's already disrespecting on so many levels. "Its hard to be humble when you're as pretty as I am" ~ Muhammad Ali |

Agreed, so yeah perhaps I can schedule the next coffee date and not show....he has all the signs of a married man I reckon...Either that or he's so used to being told "no" that he ain't ready for "Yes". LOL Trolls be gone! |

Hard to speculate. Don't do anything right now, and don't stoop to his level by not showing, I would say. Let's see if he explains himself. If he don't or you don't hear from him at all... That speaks volumes right there. $$$ & |

Yeah, but then that would put an end to this thread. And to be honest, I'd kinda like to see how close Part II of this "Older White Guy" series can get to Part I. I mean, I know that most sequels usually aren't better than their predecessors, but still, this could be one of those rare moments that it does.
I say we give it a chance. Who knows.... this could end up being the Godfather Part II of all threads....

Hahaha well, dude just wrote me back and said sorry for missing the meeting but will be at the one next week (it only meets once a week). So, I haven't written him back but now I really know something's up. Cause if dude were really single, would he wait an entire week before trying to see me again or is it just a convenient excuse to get home late to wifey because "the meeting ran late"

Yeah I really could post about things you hadn't said yet.
And no, I do not ridicule you, you do that to yourself. And make myself feel better? No. I've been trying to tell you things because I have made mistakes in the past and hope you could possibly learn from it. Instead, you choose to skip over my responses to you because I am not saying what you want to hear.

Vendetta, that's SO not true, I have been listening to folks. Remember, I have not responded to dude's email about "meeting up next week" because I find it to be, for lack of a better word, triflin' that he'd pull a move like that. He's either married or impotent or heaven forbid both
Or maybe he's scared that I might be more than he could handle? Who knows, LOL.....
Seems like Brooklirican and Older Dude are pretty much the same---scared boys pretending to be men.... Trolls be gone! |

He is NOT a man of his word. He stood you up.
But being stood up also means that he also does NOT respect your time. If you stay available to this man it will set a precedent that will allow him to keep you on the back burner while you make him a priority in your life. He is showing you that he doesn't value you the way you deserve to be valued.
If a man stands a woman up, her proper response should be to halt all further communication. He doesn't deserve any courtesy of any explanations of why you chose to leave him alone since he didn't respect you enough to call you and BEFORE your date to cancel regardless of his circumstances. Your time is valuable too dammit!
So him being married is a moot point, that man just doesn't respect you. That alone should be enough reason to leave his trifling ass alone. You do NOT need to contact him for answers, you already got your answer when he didn't even bother to call/text you and not show up.
ALL this I am sure you already know... I just spelled it out for younger ladies not to allow a loser to play games with them.

Meh. The org doesn't have to fire like it once did. At one time that thread about how old is too old to be hot or whatever would have ended in multiple bannings and all kinds of crazies woulda came out of the woodwork. For whatever the reason, physical appearance used to get as low down and flaming as a race thread. I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure

Oh I'm not all into race baiting, flame throwing stuff. I'm just curious how this situation turns out, it could go all kinds of ways. |
