Berautiful photos. We didn't have any snow this winter yet. So these are old pictures. The first one is from a hike in a park we took in my city and and the second one is showing the look out of my living room window.

Now that's what winter really looks like! cool

I'm def the other way around.

When I was young I could stay out in the snow and play for hours. Only a few years ago, I'd stay out in it with my kids for hours on end playing too...and riding quads.

Now I DREAD the winter. DREAD it.

I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies
Whats it all worth only the heart can measure
It's not whats in the mirror but what's left inside

I was the same when I was a kid, but now I really don't like 'playing' in the snow so much anymore.

I'm sorry that you dread it sad I'm not to that point yet and really hope that never happens.

What's with all the edits? lol

Chestnuts are good nod

I lost control over my emotions and posted how much I hate winter, plus some nice summer pictures I´d taken over the years. lol

But then I had second thoughts and didn´t want to ruin your winter thread, so I edited my posts and tried to find at least ONE thing I like about winter.

But....you seem to be a kind, understanding person....maybe I SHOULD post how I really feel about winter. wink

lol

You really can post how you really feel, ya know nod

Nice summer pix are good too cool

i used to dread winter. but now i notice winter is beautiful. this morning we had that mother of pearl sky, pinks and yellows and grays with flashes of windy red clouds over a sparkly landscape. chilly but visually striking. plus, the older i get the more i notice the death/rebirth of winter/spring cycles. there has to be a winter any way you look at things, so might as well enjoy it

this painting isn't about minneapolis, cause we have no snow right now, but i like a nice winter treescape

I agree. nod And what a beautiful painting! I love tree landscapes, no matter what the season.

And today we're supposed to be in the 40's once again! I certainly won't turn that down, even if

it is supposed to be winter. lol

Haven't had to embrace it; it's been (strangely) warm here for this time of year and barely snows... eek

We haven't had much of a winter here in Iowa either. I think it has snowed twice and both times, no stick. dancing jig I personally could not be happier. I loved not being stressed out over the holidays because of snow storms. Yes, snow is beautiful and maybe there was a teeny tiny part of me that missed having a white Christmas but I overall, I'm quite pleased.

Shake it til ya make it dancing jig
