I don't know if this is appropriate for this thread or not...but I have a tech question...
...I got an iPod Touch 32gig for X'mas...used...the old owner's music (substantial) is on there still.
I have NO EXPERIENCE WHATSOEVER with iPods/iPhones/iAnythings.
I connected it to the laptop (PC not Mac) and iTunes is asking if I want to register the unit. It appears to me that in order to download music onto it, I may have to wipe the unit clean and lose all that music.
Is this true?
...or should my lazy ass be googling for a tutorial... By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Um....there's an option. Say no to registration, and then it'll revert to another page. On that one, check off "manually manage music", and it should be fine.

I don't recall seeing a "manually manage music" option, but then I probably was still overwhelmed by the newness of it.
Thanks...I'll try again tonight. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Anytime! If that doesn't work, there'll always be a good internet tutorial lol

It's great! Some odd problems with plugging it in and not showing up on Itunes, but I managed to get all my songs on it when it did work. Hopefully I'll get it sorted out, but so far it's awesome.

I'll never give up my iPod Classic. giving them one more year to update it to the readily updated 240 GB single platter hard drive, and if they don't, I'm going to buy up a couple of the current model for the future because they'll eventually get rid of it altogether.
a touchscreen just isn't made for changing tracks while you're driving or if the thing is in your pocket.
