So I was with a guy friend of mine earlier this week at the mall and he was purchasing an energy bracelet that he said one of his friends had and worked wonders for him. I was like really? A plastic bracelet?

Anyone else here heard about these so called energy bracelets?

Yep and they have also been debunked. But, if folks want to believe they work, more power to them.

Yeah just looked some stuff up just now that proves my obvious, common sense, disbelief of them. But when I was at the mall with my friend, I was looking at him like "umm waste of money, but to each his own".

that's a damn shame, people are so damned superstitious and will latch onto any material object looking for a savior and salvation of some kind...it kinda makes me want to do something silly and give these folks something like a Chia Pet and then tell them of its's healing powers

Timmy believe me, I wanted to clown him, but he having baby mama drama right now, and so I felt it wasn't the right time to do all of that. I just chalked it up to "one day he'll learn".

When you dealing with people who are damn stresscases all the time and kind of "fall" for anything (which is why he got the *cough* baby mama drama *cough*) and then they whine to you and when you give them your opinion then they know it all...its time to just sit back, hope they open their eyes one day, just listen as a friend and then keep it moving (and THANK GOD AND THE HEAVENS that you aren't the one that is with him in a relationship).

Not to be too blunt about it, but people will buy anything they BELIEVE is helping them. Such has been the way of the world for as long as personal gain has been an understood concept.

They've already come out with studies saying this things have ZERO real affect on the human body. Its all mental.

And when I click 'em together, I transform into a cosmically-powered superhero.
I can emit cosmic energy in variety of effects: focused 'em into tight beams with enough concussive force to stop a tank,
I can form an enegry shell around me that acts much like a force field to protect myself from the villainy of alien monsters, evil geniuses &/or ignorant-minded orgers,
I can use the enegry to transmute gravitons into anti-gravitons, thus enabling my fat ass to fly,
I can direct the energy within myself, thus granting myself a sort of cosmic awareness whereupon I become one with the universe, allowing me to detect disturbances in the fabric of reality,
and I think that's about it.
I might be able to use this energy to enhance my strength & durability too, but the other effects I listed pretty much negate the need to do that, so I've never tried it.
