Michael Jordan is engaged to longtime girlfriend Yvette Prieto, a Cuban-American model he's been dating for three years.

Publicist Estee Portnoy confirmed the news Thursday, first reported by television station WCNC in Charlotte.

The Charlotte Bobcats owner got engaged over the Christmas weekend. No wedding date has been set. Jordan, an NBA Hall of Famer who won six titles with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s, is 48. Prieto is 32.

This will be Jordan's second marriage. He married Juanita Vanoy in September 1989, and they divorced in 2006. They have two sons, Jeffrey Michael and Marcus James, and a daughter, Jasmine.

I don't actually care about age differences if people are happy. It doesn't work for me, but if it works for them, whatever.

As a beautiful, black, sexy woman myself, I don't have a problem with the young lady MJ is going to marry. I personally think she is beautiful. Hopefully they fulfill each other in ways that will be long lasting. No problem here.

What the deal with jet-black men and light-skinned girls? T.O., Ochocino, Jordan..the list goes on. I'm not racist, I'm just very pro-black . Even though I'm gay, I can't stand those "I don't date black girls" type of guys who are black themselves. To me, if you make that kind of decision, then you have a problem looking at yourself in the mirror. There's some form of self-hate if you refuse to date your race. I love me some dark-skinned brothas!

And Jordan better put the pen to the paper! He's worth half a billion dollars, he'd be a fool not to sign a pre-nup.
