I know its not a well known certification but from the reviews I've read their textbook is just as informative as some of the more reputable/expensive courses.

Athletic certification training commision

It's not really a huge certification to have. Well apparently its in the top 3, but living in the stix as I do, I can prob get away with not having one of the more known certs.

Apparently act has just as imformative text as the 'better' ones. Just no where NEAR as costly to take the test.

K. It's occuring to me that no one cares.

Thanks Mach. I'm excited. I started it when I was going thru my divorce and never finished, but I feel the timing is right.

Is that the one where they send you the info and you take the test on-line? My best advise is to find out where you are going to be training and ask them what they require. For example if you want to train people at Bally's they may require a certification from the american college of sports medicine. so it always good to ask so you don't pay for a certification you can't use.

You probably will have to be cpr certified. I don't know if personal trainers need liability insurance? You may want to ask gym you train at.
