Nate Robinson is a clown. I saw enough of his circus act in NY. Dude wears out his welcome wherever he goes - Warriors will be no different.

he seems better suited for the "And1" league than the NBA.

Agreed! I just don't see anything in him that says "NBA contender" whatsover.

Part of me hopes the Knicks tank so Dolan will have no choice but to fire Pringles and hire Phil Jackson. Maybe I'm too old school, but I like basketball to be played inside-out. It's painful watching these fools on offense. And I've had enough of Toney Douglas jacking threes with 20 seconds on the shot clock.

Man, I feel your pain, but I'm going to say the same things I said last year.

These are professional basketball players.

Some of them are seasoned veterans.

Some of them are all-stars, past and present.

A couple of them are supposed to be among the leagues best. In truth, they probably are in the top 20-30 best players on the planet.

If these players WANTED to play defense, they would. If they WANTED to play inside out and stop jacking up threes, they would.

Even if the coach is not teaching these things currently, they should ALREADY KNOW THEM.

If they wanted to do them, they would. If they wanted to play a different style, they already have the knowledge and skillsets to do so on their own.

In short - overpaid, not trying hard enough, don't care - regardless of how they're being coached.

And really, I only feel sorry for Stoudemire, because he doesn't look like the same player anymore (remember, he had GREAT SUCCESS in THIS system). Melo has always been a volume shooter whose shot selection occasionally drifted into the realm of suspect.

In Phoenix, Amar'e had a real PG in Steve Nash setting him up. And those Suns teams were way more talented than the Knicks.

I never wanted D'Amdummy here to begin with. Never liked his style - like Sir Charles said, it's 'sissyball'. Live by the 3, die by the 3. Championship teams rebound, play hard-nosed defense and smart offense, not chucking up threes left and right. Last night the Knicks gave up 118 points to the fucking Bobcats. They got served by an out-of-shape Boris Diaw and some kid named Mullens who shot 6-for-8 - WTF is up with that? Pringles won't last if they keep playing like this.

I don't disagree with anything you're saying. But nothing you're saying addresses player accountability. The coach doesn't play defense, or jack up threes, or shoot too early in the shot clock, or selfishly hold the ball - the players do that. These are experienced, all-star caliber players, who happen to play on one of the most watched sports franchises in the world. It doesn't matter who their coach is, they need to take it upon themselves to start playing the right way.

Totally true about Amar'e and Nash. He was even playing with him during what was probably the best years of his career.

Unlike Miami, Chicago and Boston, our two superstars are clueless on defense. That's why we need a coach who'll TEACH these fools fundamental team 'D' and hold them accountable - someone like Popp, Riley, VanGundy, Thibodeau and as much as I detest him, Big Chief Triangle. Pringles sure as hell can't do it. He wouldn't know defense if it bit him in the ass.

Knicks struggled to beat the friggin' Wizards. They better pick up their play before the schedule toughens up. At least Pringles put Douglas in the doghouse and gave the rookie more PT. Shumpert & Carmelo saved NY's ass last night.

Barely! I watched the fourth quarter of that game and I was like, "HOLY CRAP! The Wizards are going to beat the Knicks!" lol If Melo hadn't taken THIRTY THREE shots, they would have lost.

OK, so let me put it like this; if they fire the entire coaching staff and the players play the same way with new coaches, is it still going to be the fault of the coaches?

Your two superstars are not clueless on defense, they just don't want to play it. I saw Amar'e play plenty of defense in Phoenix, but if Melo doesn't do it, he's not going to do it, and all the other players will follow them.

Shit, even if some of the lesser statured veterans led by example the younger players would follow them.

These guys are PROFESSIONAL athletes who have been doing this their entire lives. They KNOW how to play the right way. They KNOW how to play defense. They KNOW how to play the game the right way - inside-out, passing the ball around the court, moving to the ball, playing defense, etc. I've watched a portion of every Knicks game this season - they're CHOOSING not to do these things. They clearly believe that they're going to win by tossing up shots alone, hoping they'll just score more than the other team (watching them against the Wizards was proof of that). If they make those choices on the court there isn't a coach on Earth that will make any difference. What are they going to do, bench them? lol

LeBron played woot!

Nets lost sigh

Highlights of the night at the game:

1. Michael Jackson's "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" being played over the loud speakers

2. Learning that Darryl Dawkins got his nickname "Chocolate Thunder" from Stevie Wonder biggrin

3. A few dunks by LeBron

4. Some dude called "Mr Hip Hop Violin" or something along those lines, playing his violin along to some hip hop songs during half time. He did a great job.

A good night inspite of the Nets loss.
