LOL, that got me to thinking. I've never owned an NBA jersey in my entire life. I guess I was too old when they started getting popular.

I've got a couple of Texans jersies, and they don't look too dumb on me. I have a couple baseball T-shirt jersies, but I've never owned an actual MLB jersey.

The only jersey I've ever really been attached to was my softball jersey. I was number 4, so for the name above it I put "WHAT".

Get it? Get it?

fighting over no damn Jordans. lol

Yeah that was fucking stupid. Over some Jordan's. Jesus. These broke ninjas complain about shit but will be quick to go to the store over 5-month old Jordan shoes. lol

Pretty much the point Bill Cosby was trying to make a few years back. Putting

value in the wrong things in lieu of more important things like an education or

skill to get employed in the work force.

Knicks offense is - iso Amar'e, iso Carmelo or chuck up threes. No movement, no cutting, nothing. I thought Pringles is supposed to be an offensive guru.

All wings makes for a boring bucket of chicken.

The lack of a true PG is hurting them, but there was better ball movement last night in Sacramento. They're pinning their hopes on Baron Davis, but he's at least a month away. I was never a big fan of his game - I don't look at him as a facilitator(like Paul or Kidd). And how much does he have left?

As a sufferer of BD (and that was when he still had game) I can tell you for certain that he ain't gonna be the Knicks savior.

And beating Sac ain't much to write home about.

Ask Blake Griffin how much he's got left and he may tell you, "enough to make it interesting."

Paul would have made the NYKs a force but even someone like Kidd could help.

If Davis is motivated maybe he gives you enough to get to the 3 seed.

Ouch! brick My Bulls beat the crap out of the Memphis Grizzlies in their home opener, but even worse, Zach Randolph suffered a huge knee injury which may have already sunk their chances of getting back to the playoffs this season. sad

Part of me hopes the Knicks tank so Dolan will have no choice but to fire Pringles and hire Phil Jackson. Maybe I'm too old school, but I like basketball to be played inside-out. It's painful watching these fools on offense. And I've had enough of Toney Douglas jacking threes with 20 seconds on the shot clock.

I saw parts of NY against LA and I have to agree. NY's way of playing was excruciating for me to watch. confused

Zach Randolph has a torn MCL and is expected to miss 6 to 8 weeks of the season. BTW, Manu Ginnobili of the San Antonio Spurs has a broken hand and is also expected to miss 6 to weeks.

Here's an injury update on the high flying 1 - 5 NJ Nets (I know you all care)

1. Brook Lopez - oiut 6-8 weeks with some type of foot or knee injury

2. Deron Williams - day to day sore knee

3. Kris Humprhies - day to day sprained or strained shoulder

With these injuries I expect the Nets to continue with their high flying and winning ways!!! I'm SO excited.

In all seriousness the Nets have a BALLER in Marshon Brooks!!! He's second in scoring for rookies behind Irving at 16 ppg. Brooklyn should be excited about the future he could have if he remains healthy. A baller for real.

It's half-time and the Nets are leading the Celtics 35-34 - believe it or not!

Man, I feel your pain, but I'm going to say the same things I said last year.

These are professional basketball players.

Some of them are seasoned veterans.

Some of them are all-stars, past and present.

A couple of them are supposed to be among the leagues best. In truth, they probably are in the top 20-30 best players on the planet.

If these players WANTED to play defense, they would. If they WANTED to play inside out and stop jacking up threes, they would.

Even if the coach is not teaching these things currently, they should ALREADY KNOW THEM.

If they wanted to do them, they would. If they wanted to play a different style, they already have the knowledge and skillsets to do so on their own.

In short - overpaid, not trying hard enough, don't care - regardless of how they're being coached.

And really, I only feel sorry for Stoudemire, because he doesn't look like the same player anymore (remember, he had GREAT SUCCESS in THIS system). Melo has always been a volume shooter whose shot selection occasionally drifted into the realm of suspect.

At least you've won a game. The Wizards are looking to be a "special" kind of bad this year.

Spurs will be alright. They've actually looked really good so far this season. Don't see any reason (baring several more injuries) why they won't be in the playoffs like usual.

They didn't have much of a problem beating the Warriors tonight. neutral

Why?

Attrition.

This compressed season will come down to attrition.

Not a title, just games. Golden State doesn't expect to win a title, but they can steal a few games. Krypto-Nate can help them do that. The question was why did Golden State do it, and I think that when their best guys' legs get tired, they can go to Nate to fill time.

I agree and disagree. I think every team should expect to win a title. If you can make it to the playoffs, ANYTHING can happen. That's been proven over and over in all sports. With the compressed season its going to be even more important to get into the playoffs, because there will be a better chance of something crazy happening. Don't get me wrong, we don't have much more than a lottery winning chance to go all the way this year. But I still think players should be expecting to be in the playoffs until its mathematically impossible, and expecting to win a title if they're in. That mental attitude is a huge part of what makes the best players who and what they are.

And I agree that it's about attrition, but do to injuries as much as getting tired (i.e., wearing out your players). They've already got two Nate Robinsons - small (tiny) guards who can play 48 minutes if you need them to. The problem is that one of them is already hurt, likely with an injury that's going to end up being a career ender (dude re-sprains it if you look at him funny), and the other will end up getting injured or breaking down if they keep playing him as much as they have thus far in his career. So I guess from that standpoint, I get it.

What I don't get is, why Nate Robinson? Dude has never impressed me. He's never been a team player, and that's what we need right now, so I'm a little surprised we picked him up.

For the record, if we could ever play with some consistency I do believe we could make the playoffs. But if we keep fininshing games the way the last three have gone we'll end up with a high lottery pick.... again. neutral

Nate Robinson is a clown. I saw enough of his circus act in NY. Dude wears out his welcome wherever he goes - Warriors will be no different.
