Where's uptown at?! I know he's tryin' to stay away from this thread right now. lol Maaan, the Warriors, though the execution of Mark Jackson's GREAT gameplan, straight wooped on the Knicks last night. Keeping McGuire off Melo and not switching Ellis to the point until the fourth quarter was genius. And they actually played defense! The Warriors.... played defense! lol If we had shot more than 30 percent in the first half that game would never have been close.

Now *uhum* I'm not tryin' to get too far ahead of myself here... we're still the Warriors... and the Knicks big three should have played better.

But man, beating Chicago and NY in the last two games and having it NOT look like an accident has been nice. Our bench is much beeper than I expected, and Coach is doing a great job of using those players.

-

You're a Warriors fan, huh? I fell asleep on that game last night, but I am happy for Mark Jackson.

As a fan of a team that's not very good all I can say is enjoy the ride while it lasts!!!!

-

rolleyes Please.

Yes. I've been a Warriors fan since 1992. Even had season tickets at one point. No need for you to toss in the insults. If you hadn't fallen asleep, or if you'd watched all three games this season (along with about 30 others, which I have), you'd know that the Warriors are playing a damn sight better than a good number of other teams. The playoffs are not out of the question this year.

Also a Lakers, Bullls and Trailblazers fan, in that order. And a big stink face to anybody who says you can't be a fan of more than one team. It ain't that hard.

My Grandfather was a HUGE Lakers fan, particularly after they moved to Anaheim when I was in the early single digits. Throughout all of my earliest memories I remember him screaming at the TV (particularly if the Knicks and Celtics were playing lol ) when the Lakers were on.

My Mother and Father were Trail Blazers fans. They even attended a finals game in 77 when they won it all. So those games were on in that home.

I got into basketball on my own when I was 12, in 1984, the year Jordan joined the league. Every kid loved Michael Jordan. I stuck with the Bulls for a long time.

We moved to the Bay Area in the late 80s and by the early 90s I became a Warriors fan because all my friends were. Hard not to get into backing a team when they're local and you're sitting around partying while the games are on.

So I'm for the Warriors no matter who they are playing, the Lakers if they aren't playing the Warriors, the Bulls if they aren't playing either of them and the Trailblazers if they aren't playing any of the others. Its always made sense to me - never understood why people have such a problem with it. shrug

Whatever, more fun for Cerebus! dancing jig

True that but it's just respected less. Just like folks who jumped off the Bulls bandwagon

after the MJ era onto the Lakers bandwagon during the Shaq-Kobe era i can't respect that.

That's just me though. lol I like the Miami Heat and what they are doing but i grew

up a Sixers fan and will always be one so i won't go out buying a DWade or Bron jersey

posing as a Heat fan. I don't get down like that but to each his own.

Well, I've never bought ANY jerseys - not really my style. Plus, I've been a lovin' all these teams for at least 20 years. Some 25-30 years, or more. I'd never start closely following another team at this point.

Besides, with League Pass you can get a taste of all of them during the season, instead of just catching some Thursday or Sunday games. nod

Ok.....per Yogi Berra "it gets late early"......there are more words, but that's all I need to make my point. The Nets are 1 - 2 and it already FEELS too damn late this early in the damn season!!!!!

And now this damn Knicks vs Lakers game in on...... Is there anyway they both can lose? evil

I think I'm going to get on the OKC bandwagon now.....

Oh yeah. There's still a lot of changes ahead because of the shortened preseason. Pretty sure the Lakers are still going to make a big change.

So much for that newfangled Knicks 'defense'. And why the fuck is Toney Douglas chucking up so many shots??? Get the ball inside godammitt!!

I'll say it until the cows come home. This team is going nowhere as long as Pringles is the coach. Never liked him or his system.

It's not that Westbrook cannot be a great player on a championship team.

It's just that Westbrook is not that player that OKC needs to win a title now. He reminds me a bit of Kobe in the late 90's/early 00's.

He will sink their very realistic chances at a title in 2012, just as he arguably did in 2011.

A purer distributor -- a CP3, a Billups, hell, even a Kidd -- could put the Thunder over the top.

Knicks offense is - iso Amar'e, iso Carmelo or chuck up threes. No movement, no cutting, nothing. I thought Pringles is supposed to be an offensive guru.
