Travelling there takes more than 24 hours, is not cheap and if I travel there too often then I won't be allowed to stay for longer periods of time again, because I already went there "often enough". So I try to not go there too often hoping they will allow me to stay longer then and not send me home after 3 weeks . Moreover the last days before I leave (and the first weeks after I return home) are just tears from my part anyways, so there is not much sense in going there for just a couple of days.

He has pretty much no chance at all to get a visa to visit me in my country .

If it wasn't for visa laws I would travel to see him all the time and it would be much cheaper too as I could just book cheap flights when they pop up without having to worry how long I was away and when I could go the next time and what is the maximum amount of days I am allowed to go. And it would not be so painful either to say good-bye again too as I could always visit him again soon .

And yes i do understand your answer, it touched me deeply; as i know exactly what u mean about the escapism!!!!

I don't know if the deeper core of my answer will touch you, but it was for someone from afar that didn't know me though I understand why I let it get far, and how I was running from my own inner pain too though I would have loved regardless of it. It was one hell of a drug though, but now I can't feel it in full, time to live in the present though it's a bitter pill to swallow.
