The segment starts at chapter 2.

I'm soooooo happy!!! I've been hoping they'd do this again this year!

The book will be released in May 2012. It is book 12 of the Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire series. There will be 13 books in the series.

I don't read the series, but I'm glad you're enjoying the preview.

Question: (This has nothing to do with the books, but...) I heard Chris Meloni either has been cast or is in talks to be cast for next season's True Blood as a powerful vamp. Any more news or ideas whom more precisely he might be playing?

Nope that's about it.

Entertainment Weekly shows he will play an ancient powerful vampire who holds the fates of Bill and Eric in his hands and that he will be a series regular.

It could go a couple of ways. It could be a character strictly of AB's creation or it could be a character taken somewhat from the books and modified for AB's needs.

Speculation says it's someone from The Authority, but the series ended with the set up of there being the old monarch based system (Kings and Queens) and the newer Authority, with a power struggle brewing.

So I'm guessing he'll fit somewhere in there.

AH! I better get my butt in gear I have to go out and get book 5 and up

i hear u nbj ..but without the shows the characters in the books wouldn't have been more fleshed out and we wouldn't have lala

I HATE Sookies character. I hope either the vamps of the ferry's kill her off soon.....cuz she is getting old.

I've said that in the past...

I don't like her, either. The Sookie in the books is so much better.

I don't know if it's Anna Paquin, or the material she's given, but she's annoying.

Totally agree. I'm rather anti-Paquin and AB has changed her a bit much.
