Bath Salts

I've rarely have used them, for no particular reason I just hardly have. But I've come across some homemade kinds, obviouly very simple, that I'm curious about. And since I am suffering from sore muscles here lately I think this might be a good time to try this out. The kind I'm most curious about making is called the Chocolate Martini Body Scrub. It'll smell good I'm sure, but I get this nagging feeling in the back of my head that after making this stuff up and taking a long relaxing bath, I'll have this big mess in my tub that'll need extensive cleaning. There goes all that relaxed feeling. There's also the Strawberry Daiquiri Bath Bombs, but I'd need strawberry extract which is not at the local supermakets, I've looked, and there is only one place I think it'll most likely be but it's an nice little drive and again I'm not sure, plus I forgot the name of this kitchen supply place so I can't call ahead first.

Anyway, what are the pleasures of bath salts? What are the favorite kinds? So on and so forth...

I use and make them ... I have been making them for 20ish years

I use a high grade epsom or Sea salt ( I prefer Sea )

I use organic essential oils

They are wonderful for aches n pains and simply to detox the skin ~ I use salts about 2-4 times a week

The cleanup it simple hot water ( I dont use dyes or color ) and with so many essential oils you can pick and choose what scents you like and what healing properties you desire in your bath

Enjoy !

There are all kinds of sites online with recipes but PLEASE make sure you read about the oils and which will work well with this type of application and which to avoid !

That sounds cool.

This recipe I have here for this Chocolate stuff requires cocoa powder and a lite oil such as sunflower. I guess the skin would be soft, of course I have no idea what cocoa powder is suppose to do except smell good in hot water. Sounds messy in the end though.

Dumb question - essential oils is that basically fragrant oils? There's a place down the street that makes all kinds of body oils, and incense oils, even special to order. I love going in there. I guess I could ask if it's the same.

No essential oils are pure from nature ~ Perfume oils are EO's mimiced by chemicals, usually !

They are now illegal in ohio. Why cant kids just smoke pot like they did back in the day?

TBH, I'm sure what purpose bath salts serve,
but whatever it is, I'm sure it's not worth losing my home or job. Maybe a few of my family members, sure, but not all of 'em.

Took the words right out of my mouth. My va-jay-jay is ultra sensitive, so I wouldn't dare use any bath balls or salts of any kind...maybe that's why I do showers instead of baths. But for those who can take baths without any kind of irritation, then enjoy. thumbs up!

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

It's a synthetic amphetamine that you could purchase in stores under the false pre-tense that it was "bath salt" or more commonly "plant food".

It became popular in the US over the past year and has caused a lot of problems in certain areas, including the town I reside in.

It was an epidemic here until they finally banned it in the summer.

I think it is still legal in some areas, just like synthetic marijuana/

Hm, always some new crap to mess people up. It probably is running rampant in these parts, too. Hell I'm trying to tighten it up and hold what little bit I have together. I'll stick with the normal kind.

All I know is it's some kind of drug. I heard about them for the first time this summer. I don't think they're really bath salts....thats just what they were called and you could buy them in the store??? And apparently now, the police or whoever are hip to it, so now they changed the name to jewelery cleaner?? Not sure how you use it or what it does though. lol
