Two hours worth of bumper sticker quotes, I guess
Still, despite my feelings toward his films, this kinda looks interesting enough.

I'm not much moved to see this, but it's somehow always a treat to see Thandie Newton's film choices. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Okay...I need to know something... Are there ANY OTHER BLACK ACTORS/ACTRESSES IN HOLLYWOOD??

It depends on where you're looking. If you're staking Tyler's films, chances are you're gonna bump against the same ol' faces, but you check the black indie scene, you'll see MANY different talents.
The downside is, their films don't get the same exposure so you might not recognize most of them, the upside is, you'll not suffer the mundane routine of watching Tyler Perry buther the talent of so many of the actors/actresses he hires.

I have a more simple answer for Scarlet's question:
Ask Spike Lee, John Singleton, The Hughes Brothers, & Lee Daniels.
They are the ones that suppose to be better filmmakers than Tyler Perry. But yet, Tyler is THE only one trying the hardest to keep making box office hit films?!? Lets be real, these brothas are running out of excuses now.

please send your question to the corporate offices of the screen actors guild. there are many talented black actors/actresses out there. “Transracial is a term that has long since been defined as the adoption of a child that is of a different race than the adoptive parents,” : https://thinkprogress.org...fb6e18544a

might have 2 go c this.
An upstanding businessman finds his upcoming marriage thrown into question when his connection with a down-on-her-luck cleaning woman turns unexpectedly romantic. Wesley Deeds (Tyler Perry) is a prominent businessman who has successfully taken the reins of the family business. He displays commendable patience while dealing with his insubordinate brother and strives to give his demanding fiancée, Natalie (Gabrielle Union), a happy, stable future. Up until now, Wesley's life has been comfortable, but the moment he meets Lindsey (Thandie Newton), everything starts to change. A proud single mother who has just gotten evicted and now struggles to give her daughter some much-needed stability, Lindsey never asked for a handout in her life. But when Wesley offers to lend the outspoken custodian the help that she needs to get her life back together, their friendly bond quickly develops into something much deeper. Now, with his heart and his head pulling in different directions, Wesley realizes that his entire future may not be as predictable as he once thought. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
at least in this movie tyler's not going to be dressing up in women's clothing and acting like a buffoonerized good hearted, caring, street-wise matriarch. imo, perrry's a somewhat decent leading man as an actor (remember man-tyler in 'the family that preys').
he should do what richard pryor did during one of his stand-up comedy performances, in that richard made a vow never to use the "n" word again. so what i'm saying here is wouldn't it be nice if tyler had a dress burning evening while making a vow to never again dress up as a female impersonator again. maybe even have a funeral for mad-ea (mad ego alteration).
added/side bar'd definition of: buffoon
a term for someone who provides amusement through questionable and unsuitable appearance and/or behavior. a buffoon describes a "ridiculous, but nevertheless amusing person." In the more modern sense, the term is frequently used in a derogatory sense to describe someone considered foolish, or someone displaying inappropriately vulgar, bumbling or ridiculous behavior that is a source of general amusement

Well, I know that. I want to know why we aren't seeing them in the big screen.

i should have said please send our question to the corporate offices of the Producers Guild of America. here one would have to speculate, theorize or otherwise try to answer your question. why do you think we aren't seeing more/new black actors/actresses on the big screen? “Transracial is a term that has long since been defined as the adoption of a child that is of a different race than the adoptive parents,” : https://thinkprogress.org...fb6e18544a
