A Chicago woman faces disorderly conduct charges after she decided to call 911 hoping to scare her boyfriend into proposing marriage.

Ana Perez, 40, called 911 Sunday night claiming her boyfriend was attacking her, but changed her story when officers arrived, according to WBBM.

"She called 911 to scare [her boyfriend] and have the police force him to marry her," Grand Central District police Capt. Ronald Pontecore told NBC Chicago. "It puts us in jeopardy and the public. It's not a good thing. It ticked the officers off."

The captain told WBBM that officers rushed to the scene thinking a woman was in danger.

Perez, who was reportedly hoping for a New Year's engagement, was charged with one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Police said her boyfriend was breaking up with her when she made the call.

so now is his chance to file a restraining order and run.........

If I'm reading dates correctly, this article was posted on Huffington Post almost one year ago (last Jan). I wonder if the couple ever actually married?

Because the thing is, I've seen it happen where a guy willingly marries a psycho...and the marriage surprisingly lasts. I dated a guy once whose previous girlfriend would call me up, verbally bombard me with insults and profanity and then threaten to "kill me" if I didn't stay away from "her man", she'd drive by my house at all hours, would follow the guy as well as follow me and this guy when we'd go out. He and I worked together and this woman would even come to the place of business and make scenes in front of customers. She was also clingy in other ways to this guy and delusional; during her phone rages at me she'd claim to have a fairytale love with this guy and that I was 'destroying' their perfect love. Well come to find out later that this guy ended up marrying this woman, had kids together, and they're still married almost 25 years, so I guess her craziness works on him or he enjoys it somehow.

People are strange so maybe this 911 lady ended up getting her man too!
