PBS' Broken Tail: mourning a tiger??? well, ok...

http://www.pbs.org/wnet/n...sode/6384/

A nature photographer and his guide track the final journey through India made by a tiger he called Broken Tail. The whole film has him mourning the animal's tragic death. Great images and music but the speculation and romanticization of his life are just weird.

Any other nature lovers catch this? Feel free to post your favorite tiger images.

No, I haven't seen it. Debating if I will watch it especially knowing how it basically ends. But I do have a special affection for Tigers, and am very frustrated with what's happening to them. To me, they are the most stunning creatures.

I guess it's not surprising that a guy who spends weeks alone in the jungle tracking a tiger would get a little weird.

But it really is tragic to think that it seems nearly inevitible that large animals (especially carnivores) in the wild will soon be a thing of the past.
