Q: How long do u want 2 live? If u could choose.

Question:

If u could choose, how many years would u want 2 live?

If u had a choice between knowing when u are going 2 die or not knowing, which would u choose?

Can't help but say this reminds me of "Grumpy Old Men"

"He died in his sleep"

"Lucky bastard"

How long I want to live really depends on how good my health is, overall, but in general, I'd be happy with not seeing my 80's.

I don't want to know how or when I am going to die, but I would like to die in my sleep.

I'm firmly planted in denial

I kind of already know how long I will live judging by family health history. As long as I don't use drugs or smoke or adopt an unhealthy diet (all at the same time), I will probably live to my early 90s. This excludes unforseen events like car crashes or drive bys. lol Do I want to live to my 90s? Depends on my mental health. If I were to get alzheimer's or suffer some TBI then hell no.

If I could choose to know or not know my hour and manner of death, I would choose to know.

When I was younger I was absolutely certain that I would die young, or live to be VERY old..

But now that I'm rapidly approaching 40 and shit is starting to break down I'm pretty sure I'll hit the family average, which is somewhere between 75 and 90.

I'd like to make it to 100, because being a century old sounds cool.

In regards to knowing? I would LOVE to know. I'd love to know the exact date and time if it were possible. Then I'd be able to get everything done that I haven't done yet and make all the correct arrangments regarding the here and now.

I peeped you the first time. lol i still consider the moon a planet because its round and its out there. i don't care that it orbits planets and the planets orbit stars. that's the only difference and its inconsequential to me especially since the moon is often considered a dwarf planet.

But enough of that science talk....Just gravy up and get to the Russians so you can visit the moon before you die. wink Its close afterall and then there is the "dark side" that needs to be explored.

I'd like to live long enough for us to visit another planet, even remotely. I don't even care if I'm one of the people who goes. I'd like to live long enough to see a colony on the moon, or Mars. I'd like to live long enough to know that we actually found a way to heal the damage we've done and stop the Earth from removing us like just another parasite. Unfortunately I'm a science fiction geek and a realist, so I know none of that is going to happen. So in that regard I think 100 is reasonable.

If there are some miraculous medical discoveries and our lives are drastically lengthened it would be cool to make it to the year 2100 (I'd be 128). At that point I would have been alive in three different centuries.

I've always said that I wanted to live past the age my mother was when she passed away and I'll be 43 in August.

I'm not certain I'd want to know exactly when I am going to die. Probably not -- the uncertainty, I think, is part of what keeps me motivated to live as well as I can in the moment.

As for a choice to die at a certain time, I wouldn't so much base it on age, but rather on the circumstance that others whose quality of life is immediately benefitted from my being around -- namely, my wife, daughter and mom -- would no longer need me. I don't mean to be maudlin, but if I were still around when the last of those three left the planet, I think I'd be content not to see the following week. I'm grateful for the gift of life, but I confess to being a wee bit... hmm... weary.

Some ridiculously impossible number crossing millenniums, if I had a choice.

I don't think I want to know cause then I'd want to know how, odds aren't favorable it'll be in my sleep dreaming of soaring, so I'd rather not worry about it.

I don't care if I die at 80 or 120...so long as I'm (relatively) healthy and mentally acute.

I guess that I wouldn't mind knowing WHEN the grim reaper comes knocking at my door, so I can make SURE to;

A) get those bucket list items crossed off.

B) not overpay on my life insurance policy.

This reminds me - I watched "Heaven Can Wait" a couple nights ago.

What a great movie. And I'd forgotten how cool Warren Beatty was. Probably the best-looking guy ever.

tbh life is a bore to me and every day is just blah. I hope to pass with minimal pain and quickly and not know its coming . I'm cool with 50-60 ish. cuz this planet and most people are a joke and just nasty and I hate dealing with most of them.

that said, if I could be on my own planet, which was clean, with no societal bullshit, and a few intelligent and kind individuals spaced out just enough for good social times without tripping over each other and physical and mental health could be assured, then I'd consider living to 100 or longer.

I don't think I could take the voices in my head much longer than that lol.

I wish I could give my years to someone who would appreciate them sad
