imo, birds are proof of God's existence. you should buy as many as you have time for and room for!!!! they do require a lot of time and attention, but that is alll goooood.

I raised a Senagal from birth ~ had him over 25 ( approx ) yrs

I have hand raised parrakeets and finches as well and have owned several different other types

35-55 years old, it depends

but yeah, if you buy a parrot when you're +50 years old, chances are that the parrot will attend your funeral, lol
